At the end of the book, 33 Days to Greater Glory, Fr. Michael E. Gaitley uses two simple words to help us on a daily basis.
"Look up."
Though terrified of needles, Fr. Michael shared his experience of having blood drawn. In that moment, Fr. Michael decided to "look up."
Meaning in that moment he turned not only his gaze but his heart and looked up to heaven.
Looking up is a prayer all by itself.
It's an offering.
"My offering up and asking the Father in such cases is usually not done with words and that's okay."
The Father knows our hearts!
"I often seek the Father amid the various circumstances of my day."
When discouraged, look up.
When suffering, look up.
When faced with tragedy, look up.
When grateful, look up.
Just because, look up.
He wants us to turn to Him and to look up.
Look up and listen for His soft and gentle voice.
"You are my beloved."
Look up, child!
