Called you by name

"The sight of such a devout disciple moves Jesus to tenderly call her by name, "Mary." Hearing her name, this woman who's so filled of love,  responds to love. Being a meek, little lamb, she knows the voice of her shepherd, the Good Shepherd, the one who gave his life for his sheep." 33 Days to Greater Glory 

He calls her by name. 

Our names are so significant. 

Our names give us identity and meaning.  

 

When Mary Magdalene hears her name, her response is love. 

She is responding to Love, Himself. 

Jesus.

"The name "Jesus" means "God saves". The name expresses his identity and his mission "because he will save his people from their sin" (Matthew 1:21). Catechism 430 

God saved Mary Magdalene and He saved you and me. 

He calls each of us by name!

We have to listen so we can respond with love.  

He knows our hearts! 

We are His forever!
