I am currently reading Fr. Michael Gaitley's book, 33 Days to Greater Glory. This book has me noticing details of scripture I hadn't noticed before.
For example,
"A whole cohort of Roman soldiers (several hundred) and the temple guard go out to arrest Jesus." Fr. Michael Gaitley
Several hundred soldiers!
The Gospel of John continues...
Jesus asked those waiting to arrest him, "Whom do you seek?"
"Jesus of Nazareth," they replied.
Jesus answered, "I am He."
"Now then, when He said to them, "I am He," they drew back and fell to the ground." John 18:6
The hundreds of guards fell at the name of Jesus!
That is powerful!
And January is the month dedicated to the name of Jesus!
Call upon His name because there is power in his name!
"I am. Do not be afraid." John 6:20
Give Him your fears and worries!
Jesus, I trust in you!
"Those who know your name trust in you; you never forsake them who seek you, Lord."
Psalm 9:11
