New Heart & New Spirit

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26  

That scripture verse has multiple meanings. 

I remember praying with that verse while in heart failure. 

 Today I revisited this promise. 

"I will give you a new heart." 

Almost six years ago, I would have thought that meant a heart transplant. 

Out with the old and in with the new.

Today, however, the words that spoke to my heart were, 

"I will put a new spirit within you."

I believe He has done just that. 

The spirit of doubt and fear overwhelmed my heart then but the heart of Jesus was near my own heart.

Without a new spirit, I would not have trusted and I would not have found hope. 

The Lord heals the brokenhearted! 

"Ask Him to renew your heart so that when people see you, they know God dwells within you."
