The Last Supper

Just a few weekends ago in Indianapolis, 50,000 Catholics from all over the nation gathered together to celebrate what or rather Who we believe in.

We believe in the Eucharist. 

We believe the Eucharist truly is the body and blood of Jesus Christ. 

Why?

Because Jesus literally, not symbolically, gave us his body and blood at the Last Supper.

The Institution of the Lord’s Supper

When the hour came, he took his place at the table, and the apostles with him. He said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I tell you, I will not eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; for I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.” Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” And he did the same with the cup after supper, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in my blood. But see, the one who betrays me is with me, and his hand is on the table. For the Son of Man is going as it has been determined, but woe to that one by whom he is betrayed!”

It is with deep sorrow that our Lord Jesus Christ was mocked at the 2024 Summer Olympics. 

The Last Supper is the Institution of the Eucharist. 

The Last Supper is the most precious gift Jesus gave us to remember Him by.  

When something brings glory to God, like the Eucharistic Congress, the enemy doesn't like it.  

You see, Satan knows Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist.

Yet, Satan wants to convince us that the Last Supper was just a silly symbol.  

Lucifer, wants to attack Christ's body, the Church. 

The enemy wants to laugh at us and push us further away from our Eucharistic Lord.

However, we must not be discouraged by the evil one's sacrilegious jokes and gimmicks.

Yes, Christianity and Catholicism will suffer persecution.

We are fighting a spiritual battle. 

But there is a war to be won.

I see Jesus writing a line in the sand. 

The line in the sand represents good versus evil. 

Good will win in the end. 

For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. 

1Corinthians 11:26 

Let us praise and glorify our Eucharistic Lord! 

Blessed be God.

Blessed be his holy Name.

Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true Man.

Blessed be the name of Jesus.

Blessed be his most Sacred Heart.

Blessed be his most Precious Blood.

Blessed be Jesus in the most holy Sacrament of the altar.

Blessed be the Holy Spirit, the Paraclete.

Blessed be the great Mother of God, Mary most holy.

Blessed be her holy and Immaculate Conception.

Blessed be her glorious Assumption.

Blessed be the name of Mary, Virgin and Mother.

Blessed be Saint Joseph, her most chaste spouse.

Blessed be God in his angels and in his saints.
