When you pray before the Eucharist, allow your desire for the things of God to intensify; allow your heart and soul to expand. Pray, "Lord, make me ready to receive the gifts you want to give," or even, "Lord Jesus, surprise me."

The melancholic in me often forgets to look for the good in life.
The melancholic in me also doesn't like surprises.
I read that prayer during Adoration and asked to see the good.
I asked Jesus to surprise me.
And He did surprise me.
I saw with my eyes and my heart, the Good.
The goodness of Jesus.
"The tabernacle is the guarantee that Jesus has set his tent among us. Every moment of prayer, especially before our Lord in the tabernacle, is a sure, positive gain. The time we spend in having our daily audience with God is the most precious part of the whole day." Mother Teresa
