Peace of Heart

Today is the Feast of St. John of the Cross. 

 "Strive to persevere your heart in peace; let no event of this world disturb it." St. John of the Cross 

A friend of mine shared this quote today on Facebook. 

We all want peace of heart. 

"Let no event of this world disturb it."  

This is what we strive for. 

But sometimes we lose heart in persevering. 

When that happens, bring your heart and your desire for peace before the Lord. 

Pray for the grace to persevere and for your heart not to be troubled.

Peace of Heart is found in God alone. 

"Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm." Mark 4:39
